Why chose an RTPI Chartered Town Planner?
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is the UK's leading professional body for planning and the largest planning institute in Europe with over 24,000 members. The RTPI is the only planning institute to award charter status to its members.

There are many benefits to appointing a Chartered Town Planner and it is important to ensure you hire the right professional for your project. Planning is not a ‘protected profession’: anyone, from Architects and Surveyors to home improvement companies may claim to offer planning services. By hiring a Chartered Town Planner you will receive advice which is ‘quality assured’ by the RTPI. Chartered Town Planners, having met the highest standards of education, are accountable to an independent Code of Professional Conduct which underpins membership of the RTPI. Appointing a Chartered Town Planner of the RTPI means professionalism, planning expertise and ethical practice.
